Cofresi Beach is tucked away in a secluded cove about 4.5 km (3 miles) to the west of Puerto Plata. The beach is sun-drenched, but there is also ample shade provided by the swaying palms and lush sea grapes. Beachfront restaurants dot the beach as locals and tourists alike stroll up and down the cove.
